The 383322 BD Saf-T-Intima is a unique closed and covered safety catheter system, bringing you the highest level of protection against accidental needlestick injuries. After use, the needle automatically retracts and is covered by a safety chamber. The Saf-T-Intima catheter is made of BD Vialon biomaterial which has been proven to be easier to insert and to cause less inflammation. BD Vialon will even reduce the overall cost of IV therapy because it increases the indwelling time of the catheter. The versatile BD Saf-T-Intima catheter system includes extension tubing and an integral extension set with a slide clamp and a Y adaptor, which enables you to set up a closed catheter system for a practically bloodless insertion. It can also connect to infusion lines or needleless injection devices via a removable PRN adaptor. Easy-to-grasp wings help you maneuver and tape down the catheter. The BD Saf-T-Intima catheter system is latex-free. 22 G x 0.75 in.
