Domestic Delivery and Shipping Policies:
Please note that delivery policies and delivery methods may vary depending on the products being shipped.
During the checkout process, you will see all available shipping options and shipping costs. Shipping estimates will appear on the order form and delivery information will appear in the order shipping email. However, standard ground shipping is always FREE with purchases from ShopMed.
If your shipping address is different from your billing address, your credit card verification may fail. To prevent this, please contact your credit card company by calling the toll-free number on the back of your credit card, and establish an alternate shipping address with the card issuer. This typically needs to be done 24-48 hours before placing an order. If you are paying via PayPal, any PayPal verified address on your PayPal account is also acceptable for delivery.
Please note, we cannot ship to PO Boxes, APO, FPO, Hotels, Prisons, or addresses outside of the continental United States including Guam, Puerto Rico, American Samoa, The Virgin Islands, Alaska, Hawaii, and others. In addition, at this time we are only shipping to the continental United States and no international shipping addresses will be accepted.
If any item in your order is delayed, out-of-stock, or back-ordered, we will notify you as best as possible and automatically ship the items when they become available. If you would rather not wait for delayed or back-ordered items to arrive, you may cancel your order in full or part by emailing a cancellation notice to ShopMed or calling, before the new stock arrives. The order is not cancelled until you have received a confirmation reply back from ShopMed. If you do not receive a reply within 3 business days, please call or email again, as your first message may not have reached us. If any personalization or custom work has been done on an order, it may not be cancelled. If an order has already shipped, it may not be cancelled.
Please note that shipping rates for many products we sell are weight-based. The approximate shipping weight includes both the product, product packaging and shipping materials. All weight measurements will be rounded up to the next full pound to reflect the policies of the shipping carriers and product distributors we work with. Again, standard ground shipping is always FREE with purchases from ShopMed.
Once your payment has been verified, shipping of merchandise is put into motion. Orders with multiple products may ship from different locations in multiple shipments as we use a variety of shipping carriers and product distributors. Therefore, you may receive more than one shipment for each order and packages may ship and arrive on different days. Also, items in Product Bundles do not necessarily ship together. It is not possible to specify a preferred shipping carrier during checkout.
All orders are shipped Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Orders placed on weekends or national holidays are typically processed the following business day in the order they were received, and will ship after processing and/or production is complete. Tracking numbers are typically sent out the day after the product has shipped. Delivery times are estimates based on point of order fulfillment and not time of order placement. Please note that large items traveling via ground freight may take 1-8 weeks for delivery. Large items may also require an agreed upon delivery time window. If you are not at home at your agreed upon delivery time window, the shipping carrier may charge a re-delivery fee that is your responsibility. If the shipping freight carrier is unable to contact you regarding delivery, you will be held responsible for all fees releated to storage and/or return of your merchandise.
Large items such as home theater carpet, home theater seating, popcorn machines, cinema signs, etc. may have curbside delivery. It is your responsibility to monitor the delivery tracking number and arrange to be at home during the expected delivery time, or arrange for someone to accept delivery for you. Even smaller items left on a front porch or by a door have been known to be stolen, so regardless of the product size or value, you should arrange to have someone available to be present on the day of the package delivery, or call the shipping carrier to arrange a preferred shipping time window. During checkout, you may also specify a different shipping address, such as your work address. If a package is lost, you need to file a claim with the shipping carrier per their instructions. ShopMed is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.
When your product(s) are delivered, it is your responsibility to immediately inspect the package(s) for any obvious damage or defects. If you do notice any damage or defects, you must note them on the shipping receipt and refuse the delivery. If this does occur, please notify ShopMed so we can quickly resolve the issue.
If you do not notice any obvious and/or external damage to the shipping package, but you suspect internal damage, open your package(s) immediately. Whether or not you suspect damage, you should still plan to open the package(s) within 24-hours and make a thorough inspection. If you do find damage upon opening the package, you typically have 24-hours to contact the shipping carrier and file a damage claim with them. Keep all damaged goods and their packaging on-hand for inspection by your shipping carrier and call the carrier within 24-hours to file a damage claim with them. It is suggested that you ask the carrier for claim filing information and instructions at that time.
If you refuse an undamaged/non-defective item after shipping from the factory/warehouse, you will be charged for the full shipping and return shipping costs and a 25% re-stocking fee, plus any credit card transaction fees incurred by ShopMed. If the carrier holds your merchandise for 4 or more days, any storage fees are the responsibility of the customer.
If a shipping carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, we will attempt to contact you. You may be offered a choice between having ShopMed issue a full refund (less all shipping charges), or we can make arrangements for you to pay postage and have the package shipped a second time. If we are unable to contact you, we will issue a full refund (less all shipping charges). ShopMed reserves the right to not re-ship orders that are returned to us as undeliverable. Your package may be undeliverable due to one of the following reasons: the address may have a typo or be incorrect, out-dated, or a P.O. Box, APO, FPO, hotel or prison address was given. It is your responsibility to provide correct shipping information. Another reason for a possible return is if another person at the destination address is not expecting a package and refuses delivery. It is your responsibility to inform individuals who may not know of your recent order. Please check your delivery address carefully before submitting your order. Most of our shipping carriers will make 3 delivery attempts. If a signature is required and no one is present to accept the delivery after 3 attempts, the package will be returned to us.
Shipping times posted on the ShopMed web site are approximations and can be affected by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, traffic conditions and weather conditions. Therefore, shipping times are not guaranteed although every effort will be made to deliver the product(s) within the stated time-frame. Cut-off times for Christmas delivery are generally 2-weeks before Christmas day.
Orders shipped via "Next Day", "2nd Day" and "3-Day" are delivered to you the next day, 2nd day or 3rd day from the day they are shipped (not placed). Orders may take 24-48 hours to process (excluding weekends and holidays) and therefore may not always ship on the day the order was placed. The time of day can also affect shipping time and some orders take longer to pack and ship due to the nature of the products. Custom and personalized orders also require a longer amount of production-time to complete before the order can be shipped via your chosen method. Our product distributors choose their shipping companies. Large and heavy items are sent via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Freight. Most orders ship via FedEx or UPS and a few products ship via DHL or USPS.
Here is a breakdown of how products may ship based on your chosen Shipping Method:
Ground: FedEx Ground, FedEx Home Delivery, UPS Ground, USPS Parcel Post
3-Day: FedEx Express Saver, UPS 3 Day Select, USPS Priority Mail
2nd Day: FedEx 2Day, UPS 2nd Day Air, USPS Priority Mail
Next Day: FedEx Standard Overnight, UPS Next Day Air Saver, USPS Express Mail
Eligible products that indicate, "Free Ground Shipping", only includes shipping to the lower 48 states. Products that indicate, "Ground-Only Delivery", will not be shipped to Hawaii. Residents from Alaska and Hawaii who would like to order products that have either of the above 2 product notes should contact ShopMed via phone or email before placing an online order. Site users and visitors that do not follow these guidelines and order online may have their complete order or part of their order cancelled and refunded by ShopMed, less any credit card transaction fees incurred by ShopMed.
Products with "FREE Ground Shipping" or "Ground-Only Delivery" or "via Ground Freight" or "via Ground Shipping" will ship via Ground Freight regardless of Delivery Method choosen. Orders and/or products that display a Shipping Method of, "N/A" will be shipped via ground freight.
ShopMed is not responsible for manufacturer defects. If your product has a manufacturer defect, please contact the manufacturer and follow the instructions of your manufacturer's warranty policy (typically found on the manufacturer's warranty card).
